About

I
frances willow is an alternative/indie rock artist, multi-instrumentalist and producer raised in London and now based in New York that invites people to feel more connected to themselves, to others and to the world around them. She writes and produces her own music, combining introspective lyrics with detailed, atmospheric production drawing from influences such as Adrianne Lenker, Julia Jacklin, The Cranberries, Mount Kimbie, Deftones, and Pink Floyd.
Her sound is hazy, intimate and quietly defiant, sitting in a space where vulnerability meets edge, blending dreamy textures with a grounded, unpolished honesty. Themes of love, growth, self-doubt and self-worth run through her work, rather than telling listeners exactly what she means, she builds a world they can step into and interpret for themselves. The result is music that feels personal without being prescriptive, reflective without losing its bite, something that lingers, unsettles, and stays with you long after it ends.
Before relocating to New York, frances was a regular on London’s live circuit, performing at venues including Windmill Brixton, The Old Blue Last, The Old Queen's Head, Folklore and Paper Dress Vintage. On stage, she brings the same honesty and focus as she does in the studio, creating performances that feel direct, present and emotionally grounded.
